BREAKDOWN

These lines are all about empowerment and resilience, encouraging listeners to take control of their lives and claim what’s theirs. When I say, “Black man on a mission, I’m like that,” I’m unapologetically owning my identity as an African American who’s determined to succeed. That line is not only a declaration of pride but also a reminder to other Black people that they should feel empowered to go after their goals without hesitation.

The repeated line, “Life ain’t easy, I hope that you fight back,” is intentional because I can’t stress enough how important it is to stand up to life’s challenges. No matter how tough things get, resilience is the key to pushing through.

Then I say, “When the ball’s in your court, you gotta hike that / Know yourself, know your worth n****, high stacks / If you don’t then they’ll lowball ya price tag.” These lines are about seizing opportunities and recognizing your own value. If you don’t know your worth and stand firmly on it, others will define it for you and they won’t value you the way you deserve. It’s a call to stay confident, stay ready, and never settle for less.
